Choosing your kitchen design

2-5 DAYS

Let the renovation work begin!

5-10 days

Step 1: Removing everything from your kitchen

The first step of the process is to remove all existing kitchen contents and appliances, and placing them aside, protected and away from dust and debris. Feel free to begin this part of the process on your own. We’ll also take care of any structural or non-structural changes if required.

Step 2: Disconnecting plumbing and electrical

Next, we’ll begin disconnecting all of your plumbing and electricals where necessary to protect your house and ensure a safe working environment. Individual trades will come through for a rough inspection of the area, applying any touch-ups if required.

Step 3: Dismantling your old kitchen

Once everything is disconnected and the kitchen is clear, we can begin dismantling the old kitchen. This step can get messy, and there can be a lot of noise involved, but don’t worry. We promise your kitchen won’t stay this way. Once complete, we’ll arrange for delivery or pick up of your cabinets for installation.

Step 4: Installing your new kitchen

If all major demolition and building work has been completed, we will be able to install your new kitchen cabinets, drawers, appliances and benchtops, in addition to preparation and installation of splashbacks. This is an exciting step because you’ll finally start to see your new kitchen come together.

Step 5: Reconnecting your plumbing and electrical

When we’ve installed most of your kitchen, we can reconnect your plumbing and electrical to make sure it all works, because there won’t be any more significant construction.

Step 6: Applying finishing touches

Now that everything is installed, and the gas and electrical are connected and working, we can go over the kitchen and give it any finishing touches that it needs. Polishing/sealing kitchen benchtop installations and touching up paint jobs, at this stage we make sure everything is spick and span.

Note: New floor coverings will be installed before this stage if your renovation includes new kitchen flooring.

Step 7: Cleaning the mess and handover

Granted you are happy with the quality of work, it’s now time to clean up all the mess and handover your brand new kitchen! Make sure that the functionality and design is what you expected, with all drawers, cabinets and bench spaces accessible and easy-to-use.
